What Can You Submit?

Submission Guidelines
  • All work must be your own and not previously published.
  • Use MLA format for all citations and references.
  • Write in clear, US English and check for grammar and spelling.
  • Plagiarism is not tolerated and will result in rejection.

Detailed Paper Guidelines
  • Who Can Submit: Submissions are open to students who are currently in middle school or high school.
  • Required Paper Structure: Each paper must include the following sections:
    • Abstract
    • Introduction
    • Methods / Discussion
    • Results
    • Conclusion
    • References (all sources must be cited)
  • Formatting: All papers must be double-spaced and use MLA format for citations and references.
  • File Types: All submissions must be in Word (.doc or .docx) or PDF format. Submit your paper as a Word document or PDF file.
  • Plagiarism: There should be no plagiarism. All work must be original and written by the submitting student(s).
  • AI Usage: We encourage the use of AI as a tool for brainstorming, research, and idea generation. However, AI should not write the research paper. All writing must be done by a human. Submissions written by AI will not be accepted.
